The 2018 Babson Collaborative Student Challenge
May 1, 2018
The Babson Collaborative is a university membership organization that brings together educational institutions seeking to build and grow entrepreneurship education for the betterment of our world. Today the Collaborative has 35 university members from over 20 countries.
This year the Collaborative launched a global student team challenge where student teams competed to generate ideas that related to one or more of the the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, also known as “the strategic plan for the planet.”
Participating Collaborative schools promoted the challenge to their students, helped their students form teams of three to five individuals, held live events where the student teams presented or “pitched” their idea to a panel of local judges. Each school evaluated their student teams and arrived at a winner who would advance to the final phase of the challenge.
Currently, the winning groups from each school are preparing for a seven minute pitch that will be shared and evaluated by six judges from Babson College. The grand prize for the winning team is a full scholarship including, room and board, to the Babson Build program held on Babson’s campus in July.
Over 80 teams and 300 students are participating in the Collaborative Student Challenge. These students are really working to change the world!!
