The 2025 Global Collaborative Summit will take place in France


We are now longer accepting session proposals for the Babson Collaborative 2024 Global Summit which will take place February 11-14, 2024, on the campus of ATLAS SkillTech University in Mumbai
SESSION TYPES*
The three types of session proposals we will accept this year: 
  • Teaching Exercises: demonstration and discussion of a teaching activity that enhances entrepreneurship education 
  • Workshopping Challenges: short descriptions of challenges related to research, teaching, or programming where a problem is presented, and the summit attendees rapidly help you resolve the challenge.   
  • Expert panels: 30 minute discussions that includes various perspectives on a critical topic in entrepreneurship education. Panels should include one moderator and three panelists.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  1. Must be interactive, entrepreneurial and fun while also being an opportunity for learning and professional development 
  2. Session duration: 15-60 minutes (30 min. maximum for any panel discussion) 
  3. The proposal is submitted by a session leader, the main contact for the session.
  4. All presenters/panelists must be named in the proposal.  Email Jamie ASAP ([email protected]) if you need help identifying collaborators. Note: If you submit a panel proposal without naming 3 panelists +1 moderator, the session will be rejected.
  5. All presenters/panelists must be attending the summit in-person (we will not have hybrid or remote content this year)

TEACHING EXERCISE

Teaching Exercise
We will accept sessions on highly effective teaching techniques that you can teach participants to use it in their own classes.  
  • We accept exercises that can be demonstrated in 15- 60 minutes.
  • Ensure time for questions and discussion (within your max. 60 minutes)

*Tips for finding co-presenters
  • Propose your topic on the WhatsApp group 
  • Search the Member Portal for people with similar interest/expertise on the topic.  Places to search: Faculty & Staff Directory; Academic Content Library; Webinar archives; Research Group members, for example 
  • Contact the Collaborative team (email [email protected]) to see if they can offer suggestions 
PROPOSAL FORM QUESTIONS:
  • Session title
  • Brief description of teaching exercise (2-3 sentences max.)
  • Co-Presenter(s) name, email, and institution
  • Session duration (15-60 min)
  • Learning objectives
  • Describe how you will make the session interactive, entrepreneurial and fun. 
  • Describe any materials you will provide attendees. 

WORKSHOPPING CHALLENGE

Workshopping Challenge
This is a session where we will be accepting five problems/challenges and invite Collaborative members to give input and propose solutions. The problem is something you or your school is currently working on; this could be related to teaching, research, Centers, or other ecosystem development.

What does Workshopping challenges mean? 
  • A problem worthy of coming into a workshop meets the following criteria: 
  • It is something you or your school is working on. This could be related to teaching, research, Centers, or other ecosystem development.  
  • It is a problem that can be described in a very short period of time to maximize the time others have to present solutions. You will have 15 minutes; 5 minutes maximum to describe the problem and 10 minutes for solutions.  
  • We will accept 5 problems to be workshopped at the Summit. 
  • There will be multiple rounds; in each round a new group of participants will offer solutions.
PROPOSAL FORM QUESTIONS:
  • Name of the problem/challenge
  • Can this problem or challenge be described verbally in 3-5 minutes?
  • Description of the problem or challenge that you are asking others to help solve (2-3 sentences)
  • Is your challenge related to: Teaching, Research, Program development, or other issue faced in your entrepreneurship education ecosystem?

PANEL DISCUSSIONS

Panel Discussion
Panel discussions highlight different perspectives/approaches on a topic and/or different solutions to a challenge. Panels need to be brief and impactful. We expect each panel will have one moderator and three panelists, all of whom must be named in the proposal. 
  • You must identify all panelists before you propose the session*  
  • Panels with representation from multiple Collaborative member schools are preferred
  • All panels are limited to 30 minutes.
